Welcome to ACS Labs Community Update – a fortnightly snapshot sharing what’s been happening across our three innovation hubs.

ACS Labs is powered by the Australian Computer Society ( ACS ) and boasts three premium innovation hubs in Brisbane – River City Labs, Sydney – Harbour City Labs and Melbourne – Bay City Labs.

Each location is focussed on growing and scaling tech startups and providing support for founders who are product focussed and building for global markets.

RCL members, alumni and friends from Queensland’s startup industry gathered for a special celebration and farewell for ACS Labs CEO Peta Ellis.
A delegation from the Malaysian Digital Economic Corporation came to the ACS – Harbour City Labs on 29th of August 2019.

The delegation consisted off scaleups and large corporates exploring potential partnerships with Australian hi-tech innovative scales ups to develop emerging solutions for the ASEAN region.

Ten CEO’s and founders of Harbour City Labs scale ups presented to the delegation on their cutting edge technologies. 
River City Labs held an R U OK? Day Community Breakfast for members on Thursday September 12, 2019. 

The R U OK? organisation inspires and empowers everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and to start a conversation with anyone who may be struggling with life.
A delegation from the Osaka, Japan based Global Accelerator, Rainmaking visited the ACS Harbour City Labs as part of their Australian tour searching for the collaboration in the next hi-tech solution.
CEO’s and executives from the ACS Harbour City Labs presented to the delegation on the cutting edge IoT, Smart cities, A.I, A.R and V.R solutions.
The BigSound Bootcamp was held at River City Labs, where music-tech startups practiced their pitches and worked together with a panel of mentors.

The music conference festival is held over three days, bringing together music enthusiasts, industry experts and musicians.
Taiwan delegates from the 33rd joint Conference Australia – Taiwan Business Council toured RCL last month to gain insight and learnings about Australia’s tech startups.
Industry guests were invited to a special breakfast briefing for the River City Labs Logistics Accelerator.
